Artistico Express is a full-service birthday party place. When you pull up to our doors, we help you unload your car and do the set up. We guide the children in picking their pieces to paint, help pick their colors and give them instructions. We personalize every piece they paint. We also help the birthday child open presents and present the parents with a typed gift list for thank you cards. At the end of the party, we even reload your car. We make sure that parents don't lift a finger and can visit with guest and get involved with the their child's experience. FAQ:
Is my deposit refundable?
No deposits are not refundable and they do not apply towards the cost of a party they are in addition to the party. Think of them like a sitting fee or a reservation fee most commonly used at a photography studio.
Do I have to leave a tip?
Tips are not required but they are a great way to let our associates know they did great work.
What fees are involved?
Party fees are listed above, no additional cost added. As a walk in, the cost is per piece plus a studio fee to cover paint and firing of your pottery.
How long does it take to get my pottery back?
All items take 1 to 2 weeks to get back. We will give you a friendly call when your items are ready. Custom work done to your pottery can delay the time depending on the difficulty of the work to be painted.
I am not artistic, can you paint something for me?
Yes, we can custom paint just about anything. Additional fees apply.
What is the recommended age for painters?
Any age! However kids under 5 years old tend to mix their paint colors and the pottery may turn a brown/gray color. To eliminate this we suggest giving them a scheme of colors. For ex: pink and purple or yellow and green. A color scheme will not turn brown/grey.
How long does it take to paint a piece of pottery?
This depends on the age of the painter and what is being painted. A larger piece of pottery can take a precise painter 1-3 hours. A smaller piece can take 30 minutes. Kids under age 5 will finish painting before kids ages 6 to 9 years old. Most kids spend 30-45 minutes of painting. This does not include the time they spend trying to decide what to paint and what colors they wish to use.
